Travel Bloggers Greece members have been invited on several familiarization trips since the professional networking group was established at the start of 2015.
Travel Bloggers Greece (TBG) participated in a blogger tour to help promote an up and coming documentary about the ancient island of Delos and to discover the traditional side of Mykonos.
Rebecca Hall, a founding member of TBG and the award-winning blogger behind Life Beyond Borders blog was invited by the team behind the new documentary called Delos 2015. The documentary was formally presented at a private screening at the Cine Manto cinema in Mykonos Town. Andonis Theocharis Kioukas, owner and manager of Cine Manto, directed the documentary which aims to showcase Delos to the world as the unique and magical protected archeological site that it is. The documentary was narrated by Georges Corraface, the talented Greek/French actor who has starred in the Indie film “Papadopoulos and Sons” and the hugely popular Greek film “Politiki Kouzina” (A Touch Of Spice), amongst others.
Hall also participated in other events during her blogger tour including a tour of the ancient island of Delos and sampling a different side of Mykonos than the perceived party island atmosphere it is known for such as an evening concert at the Grypario Cultural Center where music from the documentary was performed live, with a chance to mingle with the director and Corraface, and sample traditional Mykonian food.
Travel Bloggers Greece members have been invited on several familiarization trips since the professional networking group was established at the start of 2015. Besides promoting and blogging about tours, restaurants and other touristic businesses in Athens, TBG bloggers have traveled to Kea, Zakynthos and the Montanema Handmade Village near Lake Plastiras. The social media posts, travel writing and travel photography that has been shared online as a result of each sponsored trip and event has helped to promote tourism in Greece.
Travel Bloggers Greece is the first professional network of travel bloggers established in Greece. Members are both Greeks and expats based in Greece that blog about Greek travel and culture.
