bmi regional and Lufthansa announce new flights

bmi regional and its codeshare partner, Lufthansa, announce Swedish direct services opening up the world with two daily flights to Frankfurt.

JONKOPING – 2015: bmi regional, Lufthansa and Jonkoping Airport announced new scheduled flights linking Jonkoping directly with Frankfurt Airport in Germany commencing March 1 2015. Customers can now connect twice daily from Jonkoping to Frankfurt, providing access to Lufthansa’s worldwide network offering flights to 235 global destinations.

Departures from Jonkoping are scheduled six days a week at 07:35 (Monday to Friday) and on Sunday at 16:05, arriving in Frankfurt at 09:20 on the morning flight and 18:00 in the afternoon. Departures from Frankfurt are scheduled at 09:50 (Monday to Friday) and 18:30 with arrival in Jonkoping at 11:35 and 20:15 respectively. All flights will be operated by a 49 seat Embraer 145 jet.

Announcing the new flights, Ulrich Link, General Manager – Lufthansa Airlines, Scandinavia, Finland and Baltic States, said: “I am delighted that our Jonkoping passengers will have quick, easy and seamless access to the Asian, African, American and European destinations within Lufthansa’s worldwide network by transiting through our hub at Frankfurt. The people of Jonkoping can now take advantage of the attractive and highly competitive year-round fares we offer. We believe that discerning travellers prefer the added value they receive from a full service airline. They know when they book with Lufthansa the price they pay includes a clear and transparent baggage policy from origin to destination, comprising the ability to take hand-luggage on board, as well as complimentary food and beverages on board, and the option to check-in online or at the airport with no extra cost.

It means that we can fly from Jonkoping to Rome or Rio de Janeiro on a single ticket, and check in luggage to the final destination – right from Jonkoping“.
