Bookajet is moving firmly into the long-range private jet market with another transatlantic capable aircraft added to its managed fleet.
Bookajet, the aviation company made famous by supplying executive jets to David Beckham and other celebrities, has seen the first signs of growth since the start of the recession.
“Business aviation tends to follow a similar pattern to that of the property sector,” says Jonathan Clements, Managing Director of Bookajet. “We are pleased to say we are starting to come out of what has been a very flat and challenging time in Europe,” he noted. “Charter demand is picking up – from both the leisure and business markets and we have seen the arrival of several additional aircraft to our fleet which we are managing on behalf of new owners. We are also now starting to add more personnel at our UK operation.”
Bookajet is moving firmly into the long-range private jet market with another transatlantic capable aircraft added to its managed fleet. The latest addition, a Gulfstream IV, featuring 13 executive seats and a rear bedroom, recently joined its fleet.
The arrival of the Gulfstream follows hard on the heels of several new additions to Bookajet’s fleet over the past few months. These include a long range Bombardier Global Express XRS and a Cessna Citation Sovereign based at London Stansted, a Cessna Citation Excel and two further Beechcraft Premier 1 light jets. With the addition of another Global (6000) for delivery in the coming months, its managed fleet is now growing steadily.
Bookajet was established in 2003 by Jonathan Clements and Chris Rooney, who had both come out of Michael Spencer’s stable at ICAP. Today Bookajet has various bases throughout Europe responsible for private jet charter, sales and management. With its head office at Farnborough in the UK, Bookajet is also present in Italy, France, Russia and the Netherlands and currently oversees 40 aircraft throughout Europe.
