Budapest Airport welcomes Wizz Air’s Antalya link

Fast forward to Antalya: Budapest Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer, Balázs Bogáts, is joined by Her Excellency C. Gülşen Karanis Ekşioğlu, Turkey’s Ambassador to Hungary, to launch the brand new three-times weekly Wizz Air service to the hugely popular Turkish resort.

Commencing the Hungarian gateway’s third connection to Antalya, the ULCC’s link increases the airport’s weekly capacity to the city by 42%, seeing Budapest offer 10 weekly flights comprising of more than 2,000 one-way seats.

Budapest Airport has further expanded its network to Turkey with Wizz Air’s inaugural flight to Antalya. The ultra-low-cost carrier’s new three-times weekly service to the popular Turkish resort will utilise the airline’s 239-seat A321 neos on the 1,506-kilometre sector, becoming Wizz Air’s second link from Budapest to the transcontinental country.

Balázs Bogáts, CCO, Budapest Airport said: “Antalya is known for its beautiful coastline and stunning beaches so we’re very happy to add another connection to the city with our longterm partner Wizz Air. We now offer 50 weekly flights to four destinations within Turkey [Antalya, Istanbul, Izmir and Sabiha Gökçen] and witness high demand for all services to the popular country.”
