Their nature, knowledge and proactive attitudes have commanded respect across the group and their appointment to the board is well deserved. I certainly am excited for the journey ahead with them at the helm.”

As a member of the Board of Directors, Kananelo’s new position will involve additional fiducial responsibility and he is humbled by the trust instilled in him by shareholders and accepts his nomination with humility. “Club Travel has a unique company culture and set of values. We have won new business on the back of it and I will continue to uphold it and promote it amongst the team,” said Kananelo Makhetha. He also added, “The biggest challenge is to lead the company into growth and profitability speedily when travel resumes and to ensure adequate returns for all stakeholders. Business recovery is our goal. We are working on automating our processes and re-purposing our client offerings by leveraging on the Travelstart relationship to enable us to grow the
business significantly within the shortest possible time on the base of exemplary customer service, product offering and an enabled staff.”

Nazeema sees her new role continuously evolving to ensure client expectations are met and is honoured that shareholders and colleagues have entrusted her with this. “My main initiator will be to strengthen our technology, analyse gaps and find solutions. Covid-19 has heightened our customers’ need for cost-saving initiatives and with new technology and the invaluable strength of
humanity when it comes to our team, we are on a rapid path to meeting these goals”
