Contour Airlines chooses Hitit for new IT Suite

Under the agreement, Contour Airlines will deploy Hitit’s reservation, ticketing, online and mobile booking, departure control, revenue and cost accounting, loyalty, operation control, crew management, and mobile application systems.

ISTANBUL, TURKEY, SMYRNA, TENNESSEE, USA – Hitit and Contour Airlines have signed an agreement to enhance the air carrier’s technology infrastructure. Hitit, the third biggest airline and travel IT company in the world, will provide Contour Airlines with its Crane Solution Suite, which includes passenger service systems, operational planning, and accounting solutions. With this new relationship, Hitit welcomes its first airline partner from the United States and continues its expansion throughout the Americas region.

Under the agreement, Contour Airlines will deploy Hitit’s reservation, ticketing, online and mobile booking, departure control, revenue and cost accounting, loyalty, operation control, crew management, and mobile application systems. Deployment will occur in phases beginning in the fourth quarter of 2020. The two companies, based on different continents, are completing all phases of the technology transformation virtually, highlighting the ease and flexibility of the Crane Solution.

The first airline partner from the US
Nevra Onursal Karaagac, CMO at Hitit, shared her thoughts on the new relationship: “We are pleased to announce that Contour Airlines has selected Hitit for its airline information technology needs. Contour’s presence in our portfolio as the first airline partner from the US is a proud moment for our company. Hitit’s personalized and flexible approach has significantly increased the interest of many airlines during the COVID-19 pandemic. As our first airline partner in North America, Contour recognized the benefit of having Hitit’s one-stop-shop extensive solution portfolio for its business. Aside from the technical and commercial benefits of our software portfolio, Hitit’s flexibility has been crucial for cost-sensitive airlines during the pandemic. Our personalized and flexible approach, extensive solutions portfolio, experience, and strong references played a significant role in establishing trust between our companies and ultimately resulted in this contract with our first customer in North America."

Matt Chaifetz, Contour’s CEO, added: “After an exhaustive evaluation of a number of PSS providers, Hitit clearly emerged as the right choice for Contour. Crane was the only solution capable of replacing our current system of disparate commercial and operational software products. Our migration to Hitit will allow us to recognize the significant cost savings and operational efficiencies associated with moving to a single technology platform. The Crane Solution is easily scalable to support our future growth and will enhance our service offering by providing our guests with the latest booking tools and technology. We have been thoroughly impressed by the Hitit team throughout the entire selection and implementation process and eagerly await our cutover later this year.”
