The Business Travel Show’s annual buyer survey has been measuring the convergence of the meetings and travel categories since 2010.
The number of business travel managers with responsibility for group travel and/or meetings management rose from 58 to 63 per cent in 2016, and those adopting a structured approach leapt from 38 to 60 per cent.
These figures were revealed in the Business Travel Show’s annual buyer survey, which has been measuring the convergence of the meetings and travel categories since 2010. The Business Travel Show is Europe’s largest specialised exhibition and conference bringing together over 7,500 European travel and meetings professionals. It takes place 22-23 February at Olympia London.
178 travel buyers took part in the seventh Business Travel Show annual survey in November 2016. 61 per cent of respondents worked in the UK, 37 per cent in continental Europe.
