Costa Rica hosts Central America Travel Market

CATM assembles the main tourist offer of the Central American region 0n October 9 and 10, 2014.
GUATEMALA – San Jose, Costa Rica will be the host country where the Central America Travel Market (CATM) will take place. This event gathers top representatives from the tourism industry in the Central America region together with buyers from key international markets.

The organizers are expecting over 150 tour operators, wholesalers, international press and media as well as other tourism related organizations, most of them coming from Europe. The European market has proven to be one of the fastest growing markets in the region and a great opportunity for companies like Martsam Travel to expand their services to the adventure-conscious travelers from countries like Germany, United Kingdom, Spain and others.

Lileana Martinez, Director of Martsam Travel, is convinced that these type of events are a major showcase to promote unique travel experiences; particularly for the tailor-made tours of the Maya World and the rest of Central America region organized by her company.

She also shared the busy agenda until the end of 2014, where Martsam Travel will be promoting their services in three main international travel shows: The Guatemala Travel Market in October 4th, The Central America Travel Market (CATM) in Costa Rica from October 9th to the 10th and the World Travel Market (WTM) in London from November 3rd to the 6th. Make sure to stop by their booth if you will be attending any of these events.

International travel shows are perfect opportunities to get to know from Lileana and Benedicto; owners of Martsam Travel, about the 20 plus years of experience in designing unique travel itineraries where the culture, nature and biodiversity have been key ingredients due to their commitment with sustainability.

The World Tourism Organization (WTO) explains that the growth in the tourism industry in Central America has been stable and that for 2013 over 9 million travelers visited the region; 4.2% more than in 2012. This is another reason for the relevance of the participation in CATM 2014.
