Cruise line executives explore the Cruise Baltic destinations on FAM trips

During two FAM trips, cruise line executives experienced good times, local delicacies and beautiful surroundings at 10 destinations in the Baltic Sea region.

From June 3 to June 15, 2022, Cruise Baltic hosted two FAM trips where the participants got to experience 10 of the cruise network’s ports and destinations. Through visits to iconic and memorable sights, cruise line executives had the opportunity to learn more about each of the destinations while getting firsthand experiences of attractions and sights relevant to their guests. The cruise line executives also had the opportunity to explore each port in detail, ask questions directly and learn more about potential developments.

“After two years with restrictions on the cruise industry, it is with great joy that we can invite cruise line executives to our ports and destinations again. Seeing is believing, and this is why the FAM trips are so important for both our partners and the cruise line executives," says Claus Bødker, the Director of Cruise Baltic.

This year’s FAM trips took place prior to and just after the Cruise Baltic meeting in HaminaKotka on June 8 and June 9, 2022. On the first trip cruise line executives visited Helsingor, Tallinn, Mariehamn and Helsinki. On the second trip they visited Turku, Gothenburg, Gdansk, Klaipeda and Visby.

Representatives from the following cruise lines participated in the trips:

  • Carnival UK (P&O and Cunard)
  • Explora Journeys
  • Princess Cruises
  • Silversea Cruises
  • Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines
  • AIDA Cruises

Cruise Baltic will continue to host FAM trips to different destinations in the network in the coming years.

Cruise Baltic was founded in 2004 and is a B2B network of 32 ports and destinations in the Baltic Sea Region aiming to promote the region towards cruise lines and travel agents. The network offers all cruise lines easy access, great service, high standards, and full integration between ports and cities throughout the region.
