CTM North America appoints leading executive Mary Ellen (George) Hess to EVP Sales and Marketing Role

In her new role, Hess will work closely with CTM North America CEO Maureen Brady to drive business growth.

DENVER – Corporate Travel Management (CTM) North America has established a new position in its senior leadership structure, appointing industry innovator Mary Ellen (George) Hess as EVP Sales and Marketing. The new position was created to bolster the organization’s strong and experienced executive team and position the company for increased top line growth post-COVID-19.

CTM’s North American business has enjoyed steady year-over-year growth in new customer account wins since establishing a presence in the region in 2012. This new executive appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to advancing its position in North America as a leading travel management provider.

Hess is a highly regarded travel industry leader with a proven track record in launching and building profitable travel enterprises serving Fortune Global 500 companies. Her prior experience includes Head of North America for Tramada Systems, a state of the art TMC platform for post-booking management; serving on HRG’s executive committee leading the North America commercial team; a Global Business Development role with American Express Global Business Travel; and serving on BCD Travel’s global management board in General Management, Consulting and Sales leadership roles.

Last year, WINiT by GBTA (Global Business Travel Association) recognized Hess as one of the Top 40 Women in Travel, while Skift named her on its Corporate Travel Innovators list.

In her new role, Hess will work closely with CTM North America CEO Maureen Brady to drive business growth.

“I am thrilled to welcome Mary Ellen to the executive team,” said Brady. “Mary Ellen is a highly accomplished travel industry leader who brings extensive experience and a proven track record in building high-performing teams and delivering results to our team. She is highly connected to the sales front-line and has an in-depth understanding of the unique travel needs of U.S. businesses. We look forward to her taking CTM’s new business development to the next level.”

In her new role, Hess will focus on leveraging her broad industry knowledge to help achieve CTM’s North American growth targets.

“Over the past few years, I’ve kept a keen eye on the growth of CTM in North America and globally,” said Hess. “CTM owns a powerful position in the market, blending high-touch personal service with sophisticated proprietary technology developed right here in the US. I’m extremely excited to become part of this dynamic team.”
