Cyprus is still open for business says loveholidays.com

22% drop in bookings means holidaymakers can capitalise on cheap prices.

Leading online travel agent loveholidays.com endorses recent advice issued by the Cypriot tourism minister reassuring customers that the destination is safe.

As winter approaches loveholidays.com recommends Cyprus as one of the top choices for travellers seeking affordable winter sun.

Historically, the island has been enduringly popular with Brits due to its high temperatures and consistently sunny weather. However, this year loveholidays.com saw a 22% decline in bookings due to the destination rarely being out of the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Al Francis, CEO of loveholidays.com commented: “Cyprus has always offered great value, great weather and a good selection of accommodation for all budgets. There are currently some outstanding deals to the region so we’d recommend people take a look because Cyprus is the perfect destination for some well-priced winter sun.”

The current advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office is that there is “an increased risk of demonstrations, linked to the possibility of military action in Syria.” However far from discouraging tourists they simply state that travellers should “Keep up to date with developments, be vigilant and avoid any protests or demonstrations”.
