Accomplished restauranteur elevated to leadership role within Davidson Restaurant Group.

ATLANTA – Award-winning hospitality management company Davidson Hospitality Group announces the promotion of Bill Hanson to Vice President, Food & Beverage within Davidson Restaurant Group, the company’s dedicated food and beverage operating vertical.

Creating the optimal guest journey, attention to detail and casually sophisticated service remain cornerstones of Hanson’s hospitality philosophy. To provide support and guidance to property leaders, Hanson created financial tools geared toward forecast accuracy and fiscal responsibility. Hanson also orchestrated an enterprise-wide system shift, broadening utilization of a topline analytic tool and developing a company-wide beverage program, which leverages national relationships to ensure best pricing, optimize marketing initiatives and training.

“Since joining the Davidson family in 2018, Bill and the DRG team have played an integral role in the transition of more than 60 hotel transitions growing from 80 restaurants and bars to 230 at present – plus banquets and catering,” said Davidson Restaurant Group Senior Vice President Greg Griffie. “Based on Bill’s steadfast leadership and dedication, the company’s food and beverage culture has shifted to a truly inspired entrepreneurial, restaurant-focused operation.”

Prior to joining Davidson Hospitality Group, Hanson launched the food and beverage division of MilkBoy as owner/operator. Milkboy started as a recording studio in Philadelphia, PA which parlayed into the opening of a restaurant, bar, coffeehouse, and live music venue. Following the first location’s success, a second location in Philadelphia opened on the famed South Street and ultimately a third in College Park, Maryland called Milkboy ArtHouse. Earlier in his career, Hanson led notable operations and openings with Stephen Starr: Buddakan, Alma de Cuba (Chef Douglas Rodriguez and Iron Chef Jose Garces), Continental Midtown and Washington Square (with Chef Marcus Samuelson). Hanson holds a B.A. in Education from Ithaca College.

Davidson Restaurant Group, the dedicated food and beverage operating vertical of Davidson Hospitality Group, is guided by industry-leading insights and demonstrated expertise to create extraordinary, unconventional food & beverage experiences while maintaining above-average profit margins. DRG is committed to providing partners with visionary design and concepting consultation, technology implementation, staffing, and overall food & beverage program development from start to finish. DRG also provides expertise in banquets and catering, offering thoughtful menu planning and customization.
