Delta is bringing more than just new flights to Sea-Tac in 2016

New larger Delta Sky Club to accommodate growing customer base in Seattle.

SEATTLE – Delta Air Lines‘ customers will notice more than just the airline’s expanded flight schedule when traveling through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport next summer. As part of its ongoing growth and investment in Seattle, Delta will open a second Delta Sky Club at Sea-Tac in late 2016.

Conveniently located between Concourses A and B, the stylish lounge will offer customers exceptional views of the runway and Mount Rainier while they work or unwind.

On the heels of the opening of the San Francisco Delta Sky Club, the Seattle club will demonstrate the same renewed, thoughtful approach to the customer experience.

At 21,000 square feet, the Seattle club will rank among the top five largest Delta Sky Clubs and will feature contemporary furniture with power outlets near every seat, warm wood finishes reminiscent of the Pacific Northwest, rotating art curated from local galleries, a unique spa space to rejuvenate or relax, and personalized flight assistance among many other amenities.

“Our newest club in Seattle extends our commitment to creating world-class experiences for our customers,” said Claude Roussel, Managing Director – Delta Sky Club. “Seattle has a rapidly expanding business and travel community, and it’s important that we create an experience that uniquely represents the local market with a feel that’s also very inviting to the city’s guests.”

The club will offer a complimentary menu featuring chef-driven selections highlighting local flavors along with a complimentary local IPA craft beer by Georgetown Brewing Company, Seattle’s own Starbucks coffee and local wines by the glass curated by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson.

Delta is the second-largest carrier at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, offering customers more than 100 peak-day departures to more than 30 destinations, including eight long-haul international destinations in Europe and Asia. By June 2016, Delta will operate more than 140 peak-day departures to 44 destinations, up from 43 peak-day departures to 18 destinations in June 2013. The airline’s expansion at Sea-Tac is estimated to contribute $571 million annually in total economic output.

Every Delta flight from Seattle features jet service with Delta One/First Class and Delta Comfort+ seating. All customers have access to free entertainment options via Delta Studio and Wi-Fi service on every domestic aircraft operating in the contiguous U.S. Delta is the only carrier to offer full flat-bed seats with direct aisle access in Delta One on every long-haul international flight from Seattle. The airline has also invested $15 million in its facilities at Sea-Tac, including its Delta Sky Club and lobby renovations, Sky Priority services, new gate area power recharging stations, expanded ticket counters and enhancements to the international arrivals area.
