Dutch visitors are loyal fans of Greece

The number of Dutch who have been to Greece only once amounts 6.8%.

Griekenland.net asked her visitors how often they have been to Greece sofar. In recent months, 1,244 votes were made in their online poll. It shows that most of their more than two million Dutch visitors are loyal fans of Greece. 68.8% of the voters indicated that they had already been to Greece for holidays more than 10 times. More holidays will follow to the islands and mainland, if they are allowed to go again. 

After your first visit to Greece
The number of Dutch who have been to Greece only once amounts 6.8%. A first introduction to beautiful Greece makes you want to explore more. Dutch prefer a different destination then their first Greek experience. Just because they liked it and they want to explore more of Greece. In 2019 over one million tourists from The Netherlands went to Greece for holidays.

Crete still number one
Crete has been favorite for many years and annually attracts the most tourists from Holland for a holiday to Greece. They fly directly to the airports of Chania or Heraklion and from there on to their Cretan destination. Kos, Rhodes and Zakynthos are also popular with the Dutch and a tailor-made holiday is gaining ground. Preferably island hopping on the Cyclades or a trip to smaller and remote Greek islands. A road trip across the Peloponnese is also an alternative.
