Embraer announces retirement of Gary Spulak, President of Embraer Aircraft Holding in North America

Gary Spulak joined Embraer in 1983 as Vice President of Product Support and Information Technology, where he directed product and technical support for the successful Bandeirante and Brasilia commercial aircraft programs in North America.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA – Embraer announced that Gary J. Spulak, retired at the end of 2020 from his position as President of Embraer Aircraft Holding, Inc. Mr. Spulak will retain his positions on the board of Embraer Aircraft Holding, Inc., Eve Urban Air Mobility Solutions and the Embraer Foundation. He will continue supporting Embraer as Senior Advisor to top management to ensure the overall success of Embraer in the United States. In his new role, Gary will maintain certain responsibilities including Corporate Affairs and Government Relations, drawing on his extensive aerospace knowledge and strong industry relationships.

Gary Spulak joined Embraer in 1983 as Vice President of Product Support and Information Technology, where he directed product and technical support for the successful Bandeirante and Brasilia commercial aircraft programs in North America. In 1991, he was named Executive Vice President, assuming additional responsibilities, including the launch of the ERJ 145 regional jet in the US market. Following the privatization of the company in 1995, Gary assumed responsibilities supporting the industrial and financial operations for the company, holding an essential role in funding and related sales financing structures for the ERJ 145 program. In 1998 he became President of the company in North America overseeing the significant expansion of businesses and related operations to include industrial, final assembly, engineering, maintenance and repair and defense and security.
