eMerchantPay and UATP join forces to enhance card acceptance by travel agencies and booking engines

eMerchantPay has joined the Network as a Master Merchant to help online travel agencies and booking engines reach out to new business travel customers by accepting UATP.

WASHINGTON – eMerchantPay, a leading payment service provider offering customized payment solutions to merchants across the globe, and UATP, the airline-owned payment network, announced that eMerchantPay has joined the Network as a Master Merchant to help online travel agencies and booking engines reach out to new business travel customers by accepting UATP.

“Entering into a relationship with UATP has been the most logical move. We can now offer an enhanced one-stop shop to online travel agents focused on maximizing profitability and adding value for their customers,” said Stephen Dickson, Group CFO, eMerchantPay. “The partnership with UATP is a significant development for us and is a key element in enhancing our capability in the travel vertical.”

“This partnership will greatly benefit the UATP Network by furthering online travel agent acceptance across the globe to accept UATP,” said Ralph Kaiser, President and CEO, UATP. “The corporate travel outlook is positive and continues to grow and clients are demanding further booking options.”

Online travel agencies and booking engines aim to attract corporate business travelers at a cost that will allow them to sustain a profitable margin, but isn’t at the expense of their customers. With constant competition in the travel marketplace, it’s key to be able to offer a cost-effective solution of a low-fraud, global payment network, such as UATP. By partnering with UATP, eMerchantPay adds a sophisticated payment solution to its merchant package of services and accomplishes a significant part of its strategy to acquire payments for the travel sector.
