2011 Airline Satisfaction Awards launched

A flight comparison website has launched its inaugural ‘Airline Satisfaction Awards’ in the UK; aiming to discover how airlines in the UK and Ireland measure up when it comes to customer satisfaction on-board.

Airlines in the UK and Ireland are being put under the spotlight with the launch of a new awards scheme, aiming to reveal which airlines produce the happiest customers across the UK.

The Jetcost Airline Satisfaction Awards, launched by flight comparison site Jetcost.co.uk, have been launched for the first time this year; and aim to celebrate the relationship between airline and passengers by rewarding those who are at the top of their game when it comes to customer satisfaction.

The Jetcost Airline Satisfaction Awards are live as of today, inviting fliers and airline customers from all around the UK to vote for the airlines that they believe deserve recognition in several categories related to the airline experience. Anyone is welcome to take part and vote at the following site dedicated to the awards, airlinesatisfactionawards.com.

People taking part are invited to vote for their favourite airlines, within the following categories:
1) The Best Value for Money Airline
2) The Award for the Most Efficient Airline
3) The Award for the Friendliest Airline Staff
4) The Award for the Best Airline Food
5) The Award for the Most Comfortable Airline
6) The Award for the Most Attractive Airline Staff

Voting starts as of today and will be live for 2 weeks until the 25th of October, with winners announced on the 1st November 2011.

Jerome Cohen-Scali, Co-Founder of Jetcost.co.uk, commented of the launch of the awards: “As a flight comparison site, we’re forever highlighting what different airlines can offer customers, and felt that an awards scheme dedicated to customer satisfaction would be key to letting people know where they can expect to receive the best airline experience. We’re inviting people from all around the UK to take part and vote for who they believe deserves to win in certain categories, ensuring that different airlines stand out for the areas in which they excel.”

He continued: “We did have a bit of fun with some of the categories, but aimed to cover each main aspect of a traveller’s overall airline experience; from payment to comfort on the plane itself. We thought we’d add the category about best looking airline staff for a bit of light-hearted fun, as you never know what different people consider to be important to their flying experience!”.
