A three-year investment program which has as its axis the construction of a five-star, a four-star hotel in an area located at the central harbor, and of a conference center, automobile stations and various other harbor works, was presented by the Piraeus Harbor Organization recently. The scheme, which if condoned, is set to materialize ahead of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and will now be sent for consent from all the required agencies, harbor users and local authorities to ensure its quick implementation.
