The Greek firm Amphitrion<.> has taken delivery of six ultra-modern tourist coaches in a bid to meet increased demand and the needs of its clientele.

Valued at 450 million drachmas in total, four of the vehicles are Mercedes Travego models and can carry 50 passengers while the other two are 17-seater Mercedes Vario mini buses.

The latest delivery expands the company`s fleet to 18 and this figure is expected to rise to 28 by 2002.

Amphitrion`s coach department director, Dinos Tsiounis, said the investment reflected the firm`s policy of offering top-quality service and aimed to meet an anticipated boost in demand, no doubt in view of the 2004 Athens Olympics.
