AVIAREPS enters the train business with Trenitalia

AVIAREPS is now entering the train business in cooperation with Trenitalia. The national railway company is in charge of all passenger and cargo traffic in Italy. AVIAREPS has recently been appointed to represent Trenitalia in the German market. The world’s leading General Sales Agent (GSA) is taking over all representation and sales activities on behalf of Trenitalia with immediate effect. The AVIAREPS team in Munich and its contact person Friederike Brandthaus are highly motivated and will dedicate themselves to representing Trenitalia and selling its products.

In cooperation with the German railway, Trenitalia presently operates the following connections between Germany and Italy: daily trains run from Munich to Bologna, Florence and Rome. There are also connections from Frankfurt, Bonn, Cologne and Dusseldorf to Milan. Furthermore, Trenitalia offers its passengers the opportunity to travel from many European cities to the metropolises of Italy. For example, Trenitalia collaborates with other European railway companies to offer connections from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, Paris, Prague, Vienna, Zurich and Zagreb.

“Global development makes it ever more important for railway traffic to have a route network which goes beyond national borders. With AVIAREPS as a partner and their know-how stemming from many years of international experience, we would like to extend our market presence further into our main source markets,” comments Paolo Locatelli, responsible for national sales at Trenitalia.

“With Trenitalia we have won our first client within the sector of railway traffic. We are very pleased to in the future be able to prove our representation and sales competence in this industry as well,” adds Thomas Drechsler, COO Tourism at AVIAREPS.
