Athens, Greece: Delta Air Lines<.> has launched an incentive travel programme designed to meet the needs of small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs), providing online access for companies to register their Delta flights in order to receive rewards in the form of air, car, and hotel bookings and other benefits.

The new website – www.delta-skybonus.com, is a new incentive scheme offering big business benefits to SMEs. SkyBonus is positioned to service the small and medium business market, a fast growing and increasingly important segment with sizeable travel expenditure to the United States every year. The programme targets businesses that have smaller numbers of travellers than large companies, but often with high frequency of travel. The site is being been launched in 12 of Delta`s European markets – United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Greece, Turkey, India and Russia.

Commenting on the launch Carolyn Ezzell, Delta`s Vice President Atlantic Region said: We are continually looking for opportunities to provide additional benefits to our customers. Following extensive research with small and medium enterprises in Europe we recognised the need to better address the SME market. SkyBonus does just that, providing a dedicated corporate incentive scheme which rewards a business every time they fly with Delta.

SkyBonus operates using a specially devised points system. Businesses are required to enrol through the SkyBonus web site. They will be given a SkyBonus account immediately with a dedicated username and password and be ready to earn points. To start accumulating points a business simply needs to register its flights by entering the ticket receipt numbers on the website. Once the travel has been completed the online account is credited with the appropriate points. The more a registered business flies with Delta the greater the rewards it gets in return.

Kevin Smith, Delta`s Director of Sales Europe, added: Delta`s SkyBonus points system gives a company a powerful incentive to fly Delta whenever possible. These points can then be redeemed for air, car and hotel products. In addition while SMEs will receive benefits at the company level, individuals continue to earn miles in Delta`s frequent flyer programme SkyMiles.
