EOT beach properties get high marks of approval

Organized beach properties along the Athens-Saronikos coastline got a high mark of approval from the secretary general of the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT<.>), Evgenios Yiannakopoulos, after a recent tour of the properties. Mr. Yiannakopoulos had wanted to inspect the new and improved services offered after each of the five units, owned and operated by EOT, had undergone a major facelift.
The secretary general said he was impressed with the results of the program but that other improvements are underway so as that from the year 2000 these properties will become models of organization and functionality.
Last year, some 1.5 million bathers paid an average of 1,000 drachmas to enter and enjoy one of the beach properties. This year, EOT has not only improved the properties and services rendered there but also has cut entrance fees to an average of 650 drachmas.
