EOT-ELPA agreement for safety and sanitation

A recently-signed agreement between the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT<.>) and the Hellenic Automobile Club (ELPA) helps keep Greek highways safer, cleaner and more sanitary. The basic agreement allows for the tourism organization to turn over funds to the auto club. These funds will be used to purchase the equipment needed to pick up and transfer animals that have been hit by vehicles.
The Tourism Organization asks citizens and visitors to dial the tourism police force at 171 and report any injured or dead animals seen on Greek highways.
More than one million brochures with information on the new service, in four languages, are being printed. They will be distributed with the assistance of the country…
