EU funding for eastern Macedonia and Thrace tourism

Tourist enterprises, hotels, organisations and individuals active in eastern Macedonia and Thrace`s tourism sector are set to benefit from EU<.> funding programmes.

More specifically, within the framework of the Union`s Interreg initiative, 58 applications for 2.7 billion drachmas worth of subsidies for tourism activities in the region have been accepted.

Additionally, approval is expected – as part of the EU Third Community Support Fund – for funding of further programmes on a state and EU level.
