First Choice to open new flagship Holiday Village in Rhodes

Family holiday operator First Choice has unveiled plans to open a brand new resort for family holidays on the Greek Island of Rhodes as it launches its new programme for Summer 2010. The new-build property is First Choice’s first 5 Sun Holiday Village and becomes the latest addition to its flagship collection of family properties. The all-inclusive resort will feature all of the fantastic family facilities which have made the First Choice Holiday Villages so popular, but in even more luxurious surroundings.

In addition, the company is adding a Holiday Village in Lanzarote at the Flamingo Beach resort on the island’s best beach, Playa Blanca. Flamingo Beach has long been a popular hotel for UK customers and will be given the Holiday Village treatment and facilities for Summer 2010. With unbeatable childcare through the First Choice Kids Academies, the ASA Swim Academy, Reebok Football Academy and Razzmatazz Stage Academy as well as the fun filled In2Action Activities the Holiday Villages are very popular with children and their parents alike.

The specially selected family resorts are featured in the new-look Holiday Village holidays brochure, which offers a fresh look with theme park style maps and pages split into activities according to children’s ages, to make it easier for customers to understand the concept. The stylish brochure is part of nine new summer 2010 brochures available through travel agents and online from 25 June 2009.

Alex Loftus, Head of Product for Short & Mid Haul and product development said; “The extensive range of kids clubs and children’s activities, coupled with relaxing spa facilities, a full programme of entertainment for all ages, and a great choice of dining options, have made Holiday Villages the perfect resorts for family holidays: for both children looking for fun, and parents looking to spend some ‘grown up’ time together. We are delighted to be introducing these two stunning new resorts to the collection.”

First Choice has also extended its redundancy protection, valid for bookings made until August 31 2009 and departing between 1 November 2009 and 31 October 2010. If customers are made redundant after booking their trip then they will be able to cancel their holiday free of charge as long as they do so at least 28 days before their departure date. First Choice will refund their deposit and/or the full balance of their holiday and will not charge any further cancellation fees on the main holiday booking.
