The Malta Tourism Authority is organising a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme to stress the importance of training as part of one`s work-life, through skill and knowledge which are refreshed and adapted to the needs and trends of the ever-changing tourism industry.



The Malta Tourism Authority`s Human Resource and Support Services Directorate, is organising the following Professional Development Programmes during the month of April:



  • Implementing a Food Management System on 15,16,19 April

  • Maximising Room Revenue in Hotels on 20, 21, 22 April

  • Developing & Implementing a Training Plan – 26, 27, 30 April



  • Over 200 managers, supervisors and other key tourism personnel, from various sectors of the industry have attended the programmes organised to date. Key representatives from several local organisations, including important industry partners and stakeholders were also invited to participate.



    On its part and in support of the tourism operators, the MTA is organising development programmes aimed at supporting the implementation of good people management as well as operational management practices within the tourism sector, explained MTA`s Human Resource and Support Services Director, Mr John Muscat Drago.
