The first of the high-speed boats, the Milenaki, will take on Cycladic routes this May. Built five years ago in Norway, it measures 95 metres in length and has a passenger capacity of 900 while it carries up to 180 vehicles.

The Anthi-Marina, which will sail the Dodecanese starting in May, was built in Finland, has a length of 160m and can transport 2,000 passengers and 100 trucks. The third vessel, which has been ordered, will have similar specifications and also operate in the Dodecanese, starting in February 2002.

Meanwhile, GA Ferries is in the final stages of the procedure for listing on the Athens stock exchange.
