As part of a five-year 17-billion drachma investment plan, Galaxy<.> Airways recently added a new, ultra-modern aircraft to its fleet, namely an 128-seater Boeing 737-500.

The plane can fly non-stop without refuelling for six hours, enabling Galaxy Airways to carry out longer flights and introduce new routes. It is the first aircraft of its type to be bought by a Greek carrier.

The firm plans to expand its services to Germany with flights from Thessaloniki to Berlin and Nuremberg, from Preveza to Stuttgart, Cologne and Munich and from Kavala to Cologne and Munich.

Following the imminent acquisition of another two Boeing 737s, the firm intends to offer new routes within the year.
