Accommodations in Corfu are at the Summarotel Ermones Beach Hotel, which is but one kilometer from the golf course. The resort has excellent sports facilities with qualified instructions for tennis, diving, windsurfing, and other activities. Other golfing holidays in Greece are being planned, to utilize the courses at Porto Carras in northwestern Greece and on the island of Rhodes. Of the courses in Greece, that in Glyfada is the oldest, dating back some four decades. It has hosted many international professional golf tournaments, the most recent being the Temes Seniors Open which was termed a great success and is to be repeated in the coming years.
Combined with the golf tours are tours of the classical sites of Greece, and day visits to the islands in the Saronic Gulf near Athens.
Plans have been announced for the creation of additional courses in the near future. The balmy climate of Athens and the coast make it a perfect choice for a wither break and where golf is played twelve months of the year.
