Greece`s richest landowner, the EOT, to utilize its extensive properties

Greece`s national tourism organization (EOT<.>) is ready to utilize its properties, which are worth well over a trillion drachmas, according to outside sources. Within the next few weeks, the organization is expected to announce the appointment of financial consultant that will list and price each piece of property.
Properties owned include 70 hotel units, six marinas, 50 spa units, 11 border stations, 10 traditional buildings and some 100,000 `stremma` (100 million square meters) of open property. It has also leased out some 250 small businesses that include restaurants and coffee shops, tourism stores and kiosks, and night entertainment estalbishments.
All of the above will be placed under a separate company completely owned by the organization, which will lease the properties to the private sector. If the company is successful, it will then most likely sell shares to the public through the Athens Stock Exchange. The only other Greek concern with a similar amount of property is the National Bank of Greece.
