In this new role Richmond, will take responsibility for all of the company`s acquisitions across the three key business functions of rent-a-car, leasing and equipment rental, throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In addition he will have functional responsibility for the properties and facilities activity in the Hertz Europe region.
Richmond joins Hertz Europe Ltd from Chartered Trust Plc, where he has been since 1987 in a variety of roles. His most recent position was as Managing Director for ACL autolease, which he helped grow to be the UK`s sixth largest vehicle leasing group. Prior to this role, Richmond spent time as General Manager, Corporate Finance at Chartered Trust Plc.
Meanwhile, Hertz de Espana, has appointed Alfredo Ruiz Plaza as General Manager. In this new role, Ruiz Plaza will be responsible for all matters relating to car rental undertaken by Hertz Spain Rent a Car. And Hertz Italiana S.p.A, has appointed Fausto Federici as General Manager.
Hertz is represented in the Middle East by franchise operations in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE and Yemen, and by general sales agents in Saudi and Bahrain.
