On 13-14th September at the Marriott, Berlin, EyeforTravel is holding its annual conference, Sales and Marketing in Travel Europe. The event will see a host of senior travel executives meet to debate the profitable online strategies and discuss the future of the European travel industry. It will address the issues that are critical to any sales or marketing professional; getting the right marketing mix, search engine optimisation, pay-per-click, online branding and email marketing are all on the agenda.



Once again EyeforTravel has recruited a variety of sales, marketing, and e-commerce experts from some of Europe’s leading travel companies. Hear from the likes of Travelocity, Kuoni, Marriott, Intercontinental, Yahoo!/Kelkoo, Octopustravel, Austrain Airlines, Cheapflights, Hilton, Expedia, KLM, Google and Lastminute.



This year’s event sees a particularly strong focus on handling the diverse needs of the European market and measuring the ROI of your online marketing campaigns. In a series of presentations and lively panel debates a wide variety speakers will discuss the key issues behind search engine marketing.



The conference will begin with Octopustravel and Google evaluating the latest trends in online travel marketing and discussing how to achieve the optimum marketing mix. Another session promises to help travel marketers understand the benefits and pitfalls of using search as an online marketing tool. And finally, on day one, Internet giants, Yahoo! and Expedia will be assessing the impact meta-search could have on online travel.



On day two, TripAdvisor and Active Hotels will be offering professional tips on how travel companies can take advantage of the rising popularity of online reviews. Whilst Frank Zehle, Regional VP of Branding for Marriott, will be presenting a keynote case-study detailing how Marriot have successfully established their online brand.



Delegates can also benefit from two interactive workshops, taking place at the end of day two. The Austrian National Tourist Board will be explaining how to integrate offline and online strategies and manage email databases effectively. Whilst the President of The Search Engine Marketing Association (SMA-UK) will be demonstrating how travel companies can boost their site’s visibility and achieve maximum conversion rates from paid and natural search.
