Jet2.com doubles ski runs from Leeds Bradford

Jet2.com, Yorkshire’s leading leisure airline with friendly low fares, has added 100% more Saturday and Sunday flights between Leeds Bradford Airport and Geneva, giving northern ski lovers double the choice when it comes to their ski and snowboarding trips this season.

For this ski season Jet2.com will operate not one but two flights per day from Leeds Bradford to Geneva on Saturdays from 8th January, and Sundays from 20th February, until 16th April. The new flights will give customers the choice to fly in the morning or afternoon. The additional flights are set to continue to be a hit with the ski and snowboarding community due to the friendly low fares, convenient flight times to maximise time on the slopes, and a generous 22kg baggage allowance to accommodate bulky ski kit. As Jet2.com also provides allocated seats any racing is done on the piste and not to get to aircraft.

As if that’s not enough, Jet2.com is also offering FREE ski and snowboard carriage on flights from Leeds Bradford to both Chambery and Geneva booked before 31st October 2010. Fares start from just £14.99 to Geneva and £19.99 to Chambery one way including taxes. Customers just add ski/board to their booking and the cost will be deducted at check out.

Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, said: “To keep up with our customers’ ever increasing demand for ski breaks from Leeds Bradford Airport, we have doubled the capacity this coming season with 100% more weekend flights added to Geneva, the gateway to some of the best resorts in the Swiss and French Alps.

“Our flight times have been scheduled so that passengers can maximise their time on the slopes, while our generous 22kg baggage allowance means there’s plenty of breathing space to accommodate heavy ski gear. That combined with our recent offer of free ski and snowboard carriage means there’s no doubt the extra flights will prove a massive hit!”

Ski flights for winter 2010/11 are expected to see growth this year after many experts predicted an increase in popularity at resorts all over Europe, with the snow this year forecast to be one of the best on record.

For those planning their holiday, Jet2.com has a dedicated ski and snowboard website www.Jet2.com/ski which provides a wealth of information from details on Europe’s ski resorts and slopes, to how to book lift passes, lessons and hire equipment. There is also information about non-snow related activities for those who aren’t big fans of the piste or prefer the apres ski.
