Jet2.com launches Winter 2011/12 flights from Leeds-Bradford to Belfast

Travellers looking to head to Northern Ireland next winter can now book their flights with Jet2.com, the north’s leading leisure airline with friendly low fares.

With high numbers of passengers wanting to book early to ensure they can enjoy the famous Belfast ‘craic’, Jet2.com has announced flights are now on sale for departures between 31th October 2011 and 24th March 2012.

Through next winter Jet2.com will operate 12 return flights per week between Leeds Bradford and Belfast International Airport, giving people in Yorkshire more opportunities to discover the cosmopolitan capital of Northern Ireland, its dazzling landscape, interesting history and world famous nightlife. For those looking to explore outside the city one of Northern Ireland’s top attractions, Giant’s Causeway, is only an hour away. Or, not for the faint-hearted, the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge stretches across an 80ft deep chasm and links a tiny island to the mainland. Derry, Northern Ireland’s second city, has been voted the inaugural UK City of Culture for 2013 and is well worth a visit.

Ian Doubtfire, managing director at Jet2.com, commented: “We get lots of advance bookings on this route, perhaps people visiting friends and family, travelling on business or just wanting to enjoy a relaxing or fun break in Northern Ireland, and so it is great to be able to announce flights are now on sale for the next 13 months. With fares starting from just £19.99 one way including taxes, Jet2.com makes popping over to Northern Ireland for a mini-break an affordable option.”

For leisure travellers looking for a weekend enjoying the shopping, attractions and lively nightlife in Belfast, Jet2.com’s friendly flight times depart from Leeds Bradford at 5.30pm on Fridays and 8am on Saturday morning, with a return flight at 5pm on Sunday evening, meaning people can make the most of the entire weekend.

Those looking to travel during the week can depart from Leeds Bradford at 8.30am Monday to Thursday, making a swift arrival at Belfast International Airport before 9.30am. A return flight departs at 7pm, meaning travellers can be back on home soil for 8pm.
