It has been one of the most requested routes from both travel agents and consumers alike and low cost airline Jet2 has confirmed that Pisa will become the latest destination from Belfast International Airport.

Flights are now available for what initially will be a weekly, Saturday service when it commences on May 27.

Philip Meeson, Jet2 boss, said: “Since we started here at Belfast International, Pisa has time and again been one of the destinations that passengers have asked us to start flying to.”

“Therefore, I am delighted to be able to announce it as our latest destination. If our mailbag is anything to go by then it is set to be a huge success.”

“The airport’s location is perfect for exploring the Tuscany region, with its wonderful countryside and wealth of Chianti vineyards, as well as fantastic places such as Florence, home to the Uffizi galleries, Michelangelo`s David and the world-famous Ponte Vecchio, plus also the picture postcard town of Sienna.”

“We are committed to offering the people of Northern Ireland low cost fares to exciting destinations across Europe and we look forward to expanding our base here in Northern Ireland.”
