For the fourth consecutive year, Canadian travel agents voted Galileo Canada as their favorite global distribution system (GDS). Currently in its sixth year, the Agents` Choice Awards 2005 survey polled retail travel agents across Canada and asked them to identify their favorite travel industry suppliers from 19 categories, including their favorite GDS.

Galileo has taken very quick, proactive measures to make sure their travel partners have access to all the necessary information needed to run an efficient, profitable and professional business, says Jeffrey Fruitman, president, The Travel Group Ltd. Throughout our longstanding, 25-year relationship, Galileo has enabled us to successfully manage our operations, by providing exceptional customer service and the resources to allow us to lower our costs, resulting in a beneficial outcome for both us and our clients.

To be honored with such an award for the fourth year in a row gives the entire Galileo Canada team such a sense of reward and accomplishment, said Jim Cahill, vice president, Sales, The Americas, Galileo International, Cendant Travel Distribution Services. We work very hard to ensure that our valued agency partners are receiving the latest technology and premier customer service.

The Agents` Choice Awards 2005 is the largest travel agent survey in Canada, receiving 2,578 votes – up 70 percent from the previous year.
