Low.Fare Premium flight booking engine implemented in UK

Thomas Cook UK & Ireland has selected the Low.Fare Premium flight booking engine, Partners Software, to service its 800 high street travel agencies. The travel company’s UK website will also adopt the software in the coming months.

The booking engine, which was implemented in December 2008, enables agents to access Partners’ net-fare database and GDS fares. Booking is subsequently achieved via the GDS. In Great Britain Low.Fare Premium works for Thomas Cook UK with Worldspan’s GDS, the solution is multi-GDS capable in any market.

Partners has already been responsible for implementing functionalities within Thomas Cook travel agencies through Project Globe, which is a strategic programme to replace or consolidate systems across Thomas Cook Group’s European businesses.

For the first time, Partners has implemented its Fare.Finder application for flight-booking call centres. In Fare.Finder, the electronic display of both net and GDS fares occurs with a mixed display. Booking is subsequently achieved via the GDS. In Great Britain Low.Fare Premium works for Thomas Cook UK with Worldspan’s GDS. Nonetheless, the solution is multi-GDS capable in any market.

“Our Low.Fare Premium flight platform already runs within Thomas Cook Group’s Globe Project, so we are very pleased that this has now also been adopted by Thomas Cook UK & Ireland,” states Kai Hannemann, Partners’ CEO.
