Major works completed at Kavala airport

After an investment of well over two billion drachmas, Kavala’s ‘Alexander the Great’ international airport now boasts a modern, new terminal. The terminal opened for travelers on July 12. It covers an area of 6,800 square meters and replaces the previous facilities, which were mainly prefabricated structures that covered a mere 1,500 square meters. The extensive rebuilding and renovation works completed greatly enhance passenger services at the airport in general, particularly the boarding and disembarkation of travelers.

Apart from the renovation work on the terminal itself, the airport`s runway was extended.
