As part of the Malta Tourism Authority’s efforts to foster closer relationships with the tourism trade, and in view of the importance which the MTA places on the value of human resources within the industry the Authority is organising a series of meetings to promote discussion on the ‘people and service’ aspects of tourism.
The first Regional meeting was organised by the MTA’s Human Resource and Support Services Directorate for members of the travel trade operating in Sliema, St.Julians, Paceville, Pembroke, Gzira, Ta’Xbiex, Valletta, and Floriana on the 5 th May at the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza.
The meetings are directed at owner-managers, general managers, managing directors, training managers, trainers, senior managers responsible for personnel and human resource managers. The four regional meetings will be held for members of the travel trade between 09.00 and 11.30 hrs as follows:

The Authority is also launching the “Tourism Human Resources Handbook”, a tool which it has devised in order to assist tourism operators with the management of their people.
