Monarch commissions Aviareps with representation services in Germany and Italy

British low cost carrier Monarch entrusts Aviareps with its representation in the markets of Germany and Italy. With immediate effect, the global aviation expert acts as official General Sales Agent whilst taking care of all sales, ticketing and marketing activities from its offices in Munich and Milan. The carrier has recently announced new routes from Munich and Friedrichshafen in Germany for winter 2012/13 whilst Milan Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino, Venice and Verona in Italy are already operated and shall be further promoted.

In Italy, Milan Malpensa is currently connected to three major British cities with a further capacity increase in winter. Birmingham (up to four times weekly), London Gatwick (up to six times weekly) and Manchester (up to five times weekly) are fixed components on Monarch’s destination map for both summer and winter. Routes from Rome Fiumicino currently include daily operations to Birmingham and London Luton. In winter, both destinations will remain in the timetable with three services to Birmingham and four services to London Luton. The Italian portfolio is topped off by Venice and Verona routes.

Services to Birmingham (up to four times weekly), London Gatwick (up to five times weekly) and Manchester (up to four times weekly) depart from the lagoon city per week, whilst Verona – Manchester is operated up to four times a week.

Germany is part of the new focus of Monarch Airlines targeting winter sports enthusiasts with services to Munich and Friedrichshafen. Simultaneously, German passengers thus benefit from excellent new connections from these two airports to selected British cities. From September 21st onwards, flights to Birmingham, London Luton and Manchester will be launched from Munich Airport with up to four weekly connections. Also, Munich – Leeds/ Bradford is scheduled to open in December with two weekly services.

The Lake Constance Area with Friedrichshafen Airport will be added to Monarch’s timetable in December as well. With four weekly flights to London Gatwick and two to Manchester, there will be various options for passengers from Germany and its neighbouring countries to fly to Britain.

Low Cost Carrier Monarch Airlines has established itself as scheduled carrier over the past years. Its origins in the charter business have been complemented by launching scheduled services to major European cities whereas the airline has eager plans for the future with a constant expansion of its route network.

Monarch’s business model combines low cost fare structures with a high level of services, allowing each passenger to choose from flight tickets according to individual needs and requirements. Monarch’s fleet currently consists of 32 aircrafts with few Boeing 737 and a majority of Airbus aircraft.
