Leading travel group Thomas Cook AG and global travel technology provider Worldspan, L.P. yesterday announced a new online travel distribution agreement. Through the agreement, many of Thomas Cook’s well-known European brands will become available this fall through the Web-based Worldspan TourSelect leisure travel booking system. The brands include Neckermann Reisen, TIP, Thomas Cook Reisen, Center Parcs, Condor, Paneuropa Reisen, Bucher Last Minute, Neckermann Hungary and Neckermann Poland. Also available are Easy Way, a discount program for travel agencies, and Aldiana, in which Thomas Cook AG holds a small stake.

Thomas Cook AG is the second largest travel group in Europe and the third largest in the world. Worldspan TourSelect is one of Europe’s foremost leisure travel booking systems. It employs the latest technologies to allow travel agents to shop and create real-time, interactive bookings with travel providers via the Internet. Following the introduction of Thomas Cook’s brands, Worldspan agents will have state-of-the-art, online connectivity to a total of 70 tour operators, hotel companies and car rental companies. Other brands recently added to TourSelect include TUI, REWE Touristik Gruppe, Ameropa, Alltours, Oger and many other popular European brands.
Using TourSelect, Worldspan agents have the ability to book pre-packaged tours and also the flexibility to build custom trips with individual travel components, including air, hotel and car rentals. Free of charge in Germany to Worldspan travel agencies, TourSelect is in use by agencies in Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Holland, Denmark and Russia.
