Alitalia, in cooperation with Dutch carrier KLM, now offers daily flights from Thessaloniki to Milan at 6.20am and 3.10pm. With more than 60 flights a month, Alitalia is able to take advantage of the two carriers` international network and compete in the price arena.
Dinos Frantzeskakis, director of Discover the World Marketing in Greece – which represents Alitalia Thessaloniki, said: Alitalia continues to invest in northern Greece and has added a second flight in cooperation with KLM.
Alitalia aims to offer its Macedonian travellers flights to all corners of the globe via Milan. Accommodation and car hire packages will be offered by litalia and KLM through travel agencies starting April 1.
Alitalia first began flying daily from Thessaloniki to Milan on May 1, 1998, and today the carrier has a significant share in the northern Greek market.
