Officials from five airports in northern Greece said recently that in the month of January and February more travelers chose to use their airports as opposed to the same period last year. In the January-February period, the mentioned airports served at least 466.144 passengers over a figure of 456.874 that was recorded in the corresponding period last year. In the same period under review, apparently Thessaloniki’s major airport reported a rise of 0.3 percent over last year`s figure while the airport in Kozani marked a whopping 10.9 percent rise in passenger traffic.
