Northern Greek travel agents get together

Over 100 travel agents in Thessaloniki<.> and the wider region of northern Greece have proceeded with the formation of a cooperative intended to further expansion and improve their services. Agents who have been operating as such for 18 years or more, and are employers, are eligible to join.

Prospective members must possess the official travel agency permit and be based or have offices in northern Greece.

The cooperative hopes to, among other things: provide members with technical, technological and organisational support; purchase or rent property that will be made available to members for professional purposes; hire or purchase buses, planes, ships, hotels, camping grounds; offer loans and other financial assistance to agents; as well as set up branches in Greece and abroad.

All members are required to contribute 150,000 drachmas each towards the cooperative`s pool of funds.
