Greece’s state-run carrier
OA noted an increase in the volume of commercial goods and mail it transferred in the first three months of the year. The figure for goods and mail sent abroad grew by 17.2% while that for items transported within Greece rose by 6.5% compared to the same period last year.
The company’s annual losses in this area fell by 12.7%, following measures taken upon the orders of the commercial transport department.
These developments, together with a significant boost in departures and arrivals, formed the base for a dramatic 71 percent increase in revenue raised by international transit from Greece between January and March of this year.
