Configuration is 32 passengers in Business Class, and 236 in Economy. The airplanes replaced B747’s, which have been withdrawn from service.
The new airplanes have been put on the Athens-New York-Boston-Athens schedule, considered the airline’s prime routing. These flights were described as the spinal cord of Olympic, by OA president George Zigogiannis. Olympic inaugurated service between Athens and New York in June 1966.
Among features of the new aircraft is individual screens for passengers choice of television an video viewing, telephone connections and fax machines.
