Paris is the No1 city break destination in terms of bookings

Directline-citybreaks report that Paris was the highest performing product over the 3 month period, followed by Prague, Bruges, Barcelona, Rome, Venice,  Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin and Krakow. From the top ten performing products, Bruges has been the biggest gainer with a year on year increase of 62%. Directline-citybreaks put this down to a vastly improved product range over the last 12 months, giving customers a greater selection of affordable options.

Matthew Flint, Sales Director, directline-citybreaks said: “We have far more availability in the budget range of accommodation with a wider variety of 3 star hotels along with the introduction of some more properties aimed at the luxury end of the market – all of which are available to book both online and in our call centre.”

For Bruges, the UK is the most important market regarding overnight stays (31%), whilst figures from the Bruges tourism office show an increase of almost 6% last year.

Top ten city products for 3 month period ending March 31/03:
1. Paris
2. Prague
3. Bruges
4. Barcelona
5. Rome
6. Venice
7. Amsterdam
8. Brussels
9. Dublin
10. Krakow.
