Premium Voyageur’s first anniversary and already 400,000 customers

In a little more than a year, 400,000 customers have already travelled in Air France’s Premium Voyageur cabin which offers 40% more space and very competitive fares.

“Premium Voyageur is a great success with our leisure customers, including seniors and SMEs looking for enhanced comfort on long-haul flights. 77% of customers think that Premium Voyageur has met or even surpassed their expectations. They above all appreciate the comfort of the seat and the ground services providing smoother passage through the airport such as access to the Business class check-in desks, the larger baggage allowance with priority delivery, dedicated security channels and priority boarding and disembarkation.” declared Christian Herzog, SVP Marketing at Air France-KLM.

Premium Voyageur offers a very competitive range of fares, accessible to all and particularly well adapted to small and medium-sized businesses.

In just one year, Air France has continually innovated and launched three new seats.

The launch of the Premium Voyageur cabin is part of an ongoing permanent innovation programme. In just one year, Air France has introduced three new seats:

  • The new Premium Voyageur seat launched in autumn 2009,
  • The new short-haul seat launched in February 2010 (5 to 7.5 cm additional legroom and the seat is 40% lighter, weighing 5.4 kg less than a traditional seat),
  • and a new version of the long-haul Business class seat, revealed in September 2010 and being gradually installed on Air France’s long-haul fleet as from December 2010 (a new seat structure offering a seat bed over two metres long, a new fixed footrest, seat controls which are easier to use, new storage space and a 38 centimetre-wide screen).

At the same time as extending its range of products, Air France is continuing its ongoing fleet modernization strategy.
