SAS takes advantage of new Greek economic strength

SAS  last month launched new codeshare flights from Thessaloniki to Scandinavia in an effort to strengthen its position in Northern Greece as the leading carrier to Scandinavia. The airline also announced very special prices for Baltic country flights from Greece’s northern capital.
Tassos Georgopoulos of Wayfare Aviation Services, which represents the carrier here, says that “inbound traffic from Scandinavia to Thessaloniki continues to grow both for leisure and business opportunities.” He adds that because the Greek economy continues to grow and because there is a demand for new routes from Thessaloniki to Scandinavia, SAS intends to strengthen its position here.
