SN Brussels Airlines is selling its stake in Loyalty Gate Ltd. (LGL), Europe`s developer and manager of frequent flyer programs, to ICLP, the world`s number one airline loyalty marketing agency. SN holds 15.44% of Loyalty Gate shares. The other shareholders of LGL, Swiss International Airlines and TAP Portugal, have also sold their shares.

Loyalty Gate Ltd. has managed the Privilege frequent flyer program for SN Brussels Airlines since its launch. LGL is based at Zurich Airport in Switzerland, and was founded in July 1999 under the name of Qualiflyer Limited, when part of the former Qualiflyer loyalty program organization. LGL, which employs a team of more than 30 airline-marketing specialists, develops and operates the award-winning frequent flyer programs on behalf of SN Brussels Airlines (Privilege), Swiss International Air Lines (Swiss TravelClub) and TAP Air Portugal (Victoria).

With the acquisition of LGL, ICLP headquartered in London, will further expand Zurich-based Loyalty Gate Ltd. as Europe`s leading developer and manager of loyalty programs in Central Europe.

Mignon Buckingham, Managing Director of ICLP says: “With offices in Zurich – right in the heart of Europe – we are superbly placed to deliver Pan-European loyalty initiatives and to help develop the expanding European loyalty market, especially in Germany, Switzerland and Italy”. Continues Buckingham: “There is an obvious synergy between ICLP and Loyalty Gate. Both companies have world-class loyalty marketing credentials and extensive international airline experience – by joining forces, we will further cement our position as the leading travel loyalty marketing agency.”

Eric Platteau, VP of Relationship Marketing at SN Brussels Airlines and project manager on behalf of LGL Board of Shareholders, says: “ICLP are loyalty marketing specialists who have the resource and expertise to future-proof our loyalty program. The increasing number of Privilege members (11% per year) will benefit from ICLP’s creativity, flexibility and best-practice airline experience. Our frequent flyers will continue to enjoy the premium service and advantages that they have come to expect from their loyalty activities”.
